Local farmers graduate from educational Ag Biz ourse offered by AgCarolina Farm Credit.
AgCarolina Farm Credit recently recognized 11 individuals that are a part of the 2023-2024 Ag Biz courses. Ag Biz courses are online educational courses offered through Farm Credit that teach financial and business planning, budgeting and other farm financial management topics that are essential to success. Each participant partnered with a loan officer mentor for the duration of the course.
The Ag Biz courses are designed for young, beginning and small farmers and are offered in two parts—Ag Biz Basics and Ag Biz Planner. Ag Biz Basics course is designed for individuals looking to begin, or in the beginning stages of, a farming operation. The Ag Biz Planner course is geared towards those who are currently involved in an agricultural operation as a primary decision maker or major influence maker.
Participants in both courses completed online learning modules and attended a leadership conference held in Raleigh. At the leadership conference, participants were able to network with other Farm Credit participants throughout five states and learn from various speakers.
